Reflect stores all mood entries, journal text, trigger tags, emotion tags, and body tags on your device only, using the device's local SQLite database. We do not upload or sync your raw journal entries to our servers.
When you tap "Generate this week's insight", the app sends anonymised aggregate statistics to our server — specifically: your total entry count, a frequency table of trigger tags (no raw text), and aggregate "what helped" data grouped by trigger. Our server forwards these anonymised aggregates over TLS to Anthropic, PBC (the Claude API) solely to generate the natural-language insight, then returns the result to your device (see clause 6). We do not store or log these aggregates. They contain no raw journal text and nothing that identifies you, are used solely to generate your insight, and are discarded immediately after the response is sent.
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertising networks or data brokers.
All on-device data is removed when you uninstall the app. Because we do not persist any data server-side (see clause 2), there is no additional deletion step required on your behalf.
All network communication between the app and our servers uses TLS (HTTPS). On-device data is stored in the app's sandboxed storage, inaccessible to other apps on the device.
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes a pseudonymous user identifier and purchase receipts as required to verify entitlements. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
We use Anthropic, PBC (the Claude API) to generate your insight text from the anonymised aggregates described in clause 2. Anthropic processes these aggregates solely to produce the response; they contain no raw journal text and nothing that identifies you. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details.
Reflect is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
